Sears is one of those giant corporations that was woven into the fabric of American life. It became one of the largest US retailers but didn't adapt to competition (especially from Walmart and Amazon) and changing consumer habits. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2018. This video shows the remains of the massive Sears HQ building in Illinois. The cameramen gained access before this massive complex was demolished and were able to shoot from all parts of the building – offices, cubicles, lobby, meeting rooms and more. With trees, waterfalls and a giant atrium, this was one of the most incredible office buildings ever. Sears missed their chance to become Amazon just as Blockbuster missed their chance to become Netflix.
