UFO sightings have been around as long as recorded history itself. In classical Europe, historians such as Herodotus and Tacitus wrote about "white shields in the sky." In China, texts refer to "celestial lights" and "flying dragons." In India, via the Vedic texts (written around 1500 BC), there is mention of "vimanas" which were the "chariots of the gods" that could move more swiftly than thought. Speaking of chariots, in the Bible, the prophet Elijah was apparently taken up to the sky in a chariot of fire, while another prophet, Ezekiel, spoke of "wheels in the sky." Have these advanced craft being around longer than humanity itself?
