Former Israeli Minister of Diaspora Affairs, and Chair for Jewish Agency for Israel, Natan Sharansky, founded the Global Forum Against Antisemitism in 2004. This organization launched a new Zionist definition of antisemitism expanding the meaning of the original term to the point where the old one (hostility and prejudice against Jews) has vanished. The new Israel-centric definition was adopted by many European countries. The scheme is to redefine antisemitism to silence criticism of Israel.
