The West has been besieged by political correctness, identity politics, cancel culture, unbridled immigration and woke ideology. Western children are taught that all white people are bad colonizers and to be ashamed of their own history and culture. This ideology pretends to be caring and inclusive while silencing free speech and opening the borders to anyone (to dilute national identity). The Left, which used to stand for "liberalism" (root meaning of freedom), has been overtaken by tyrannical "progressives." The formerly free and open societies of the West are under threat – not from a foreign invader, but from illiberalism within.
