The organization of Jehovah's Witnesses is a cult masquerading as a religion. Jehovah's Witnesses make a point of separating themselves from worldly things which creates social isolation (something particular to all cults). Unfortunately, this rule applies to members of all ages, which can lead to devastating psychological effects on children. This former JW member shares his experience growing up in a world where as a young child he was completely cut off from having friends who were not members. He was excluded from birthday parties and was expected to proselytize to convert others into the cult. Luckily, he escaped and reveals some tips on how to rescue people from cults.
