Engineers do not account for the supposed curvature of Earth when buildings roads, railways or canals. Over 30 miles, this would equate to 600ft. If the Earth truly revolved around the sun, the change in the position of stars would be noticeable, not the same every season, every year. If the Earth were truly revolving east at over 1000mph, objects shot straight up in the air (e.g. cannonballs) should land slightly due west. On the globe earth, the circumference of Antarctica is around 12,000 miles, yet Captain James Cook and James Clark Ross took 3-4 years to circumnavigate it, clocking 50,000 to 60,000 miles. They call it sea LEVEL for good reason!
