See dramatic footage in and around Lahaina from those who were there during the day before the fires started – people who managed to escape alive. See the fires grow, jump over highways and spread rapidly from the point of view of those at the scene. The image of the bright red fires against the backdrop of thick black smoke is surreal. This is real, raw, unfiltered footage from those who experienced the horror of the attack and managed to survive. It will give you a very good idea of what it was like to live through it. Warning: coarse language.
