Ancient civilizations were far more advanced than we've been told. The evidence shows this in numerous ways. One particularly fascinating example is the group of Bosnian Pyramids. Mainstream science and academia have gone out of their way to insist that these pyramids are just hills and natural formations, but the mathematics belies that idea. These are the biggest pyramids in the world: the Pyramid of the Sun is a minimum 220 meters and the Pyramid of the Moon is 180m (compared to the Giza Great Pyramid which is 147m).
