#4163 Journalist Discusses CNN Whitewash of Her Operation Tailwind Reports - Audio DVD
Operation Tailwind was the codename given to the US Military project of dropping deadly nerve gas (sarin) in a remote area of Laos in 1970 during the Vietnam War. One of the journalists responsible for creating a video news report on the topic speaks here about how her employer, CNN, whitewashed the reports and fired her for producing them, despite months of research, on-camera interviews and depositions which backed up her team's investigative reporting. Under pressure from the Pentagon, CNN retracted the story. This journalist sued CNN for unfair dismissal and won a settlement. Here is her story.
