Whatever noble ideals and intentions it has, the manmade climate change movement is deeply authoritarian. Its list of demands not only require centralization of power, but they are also highly unrealistic. Energy transitions are historically very slow (wood to coal, coal to oil, oil to natural gas) because they require colossal capital investment. Yet, green extremists want a multi-trillion dollar outlay to change everything within 1-3 decades, taking us back to 1905 levels of CO2 emissions, before the advent of cars, planes and fridges. Meanwhile, global warming has stopped. Does the public have apocalypse fatigue?
