Hasn't it has always been strange that humanity went through the Dark and Middle Ages for so long where so little was achieved and recorded? This documentary shows how authors used to write the date with an "i" or "j" (denoting "Jesus" or the years after Jesus) in front: i = AD, i300 = 300 AD. However the problem was when people mistook the "i" for "1", thus i300 became 1300. Adding a concocted 1000 years to history creates the impression that the status quo has always been like this, when in reality we may be much closer to ancient Greeks and Egyptians than we imagine.
