There has been a revival of body painting in the Western society since the 1960s, in part prompted by the liberalization of social mores regarding nudity. Watch as more than 100 people strip for the NYC Nude Body Painting Day Event where dozens of artists gather to use the human body as their canvas to express some amazing original artwork. Unlike tattoos, body painting is temporary, usually lasting several hours, or at most a couple of weeks. Sometimes artists will paint the body so that it looks like the individual is fully clothed but in reality it's just paint on their naked body.
