The State itself proved to be the biggest killer of people in the 20th century (democide). Governments have given themselves the right to do things that no other individual or organization could do. Holding a monopoly on force and violence, and decrees about what you can and can't consume; which would be outright illegal if someone else tried to claim them. A State is just a group of people who have massive power. Can it really justify itself? Is there any solid foundation to its claim of authority? If not, then why do we obey and follow it en masse? This presentation closely examines the so-called political of authority of the State, an idea in many people's minds – which may be a house built on sand.
