Aldous Huxley is known for his famous dystopian novel "Brave New World", which depicts a grim totalitarian future where the mass populace is distracted with motivation-reducing drugs and reproduction is totally controlled by the government in State hatcheries. Less well known is the fact that Huxley himself was from an elite family that promoted eugenics – the idea of selective breeding and sterilization to improve the "superior elements" of society. Huxley here names the goal the elite are aiming for as the “Final Revolution” – where the controlling oligarchy succeed in manipulating people to love their servitude and thus never rebel.
