However, liberty requires responsibility. If we want the benefits of freedom, we need to do the work required to establish and maintain it. Government is basically the most powerful mafia in a given geographical area. It claims the right to initiate force to prevent competition and take money (a right that no other group or individual has), but it drapes its guns in velvet, rhetoric and the star-striped flag.
