Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it, as the famous saying goes, and this is highly relevant to the dangerous nuclear power industry. This film highlights the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear catastrophe, which still continues, with thousands of disabled survivors suffering from the "Chernobyl syndrome" of radiation-related illness. There is an urgent need to replace the hastily-constructed and now crumbling sarcophagus over the still-contaminated reactor. This film contains newly available videos and photos taken in and around the plant, computer animation, and interviews with participants and eyewitnesses, many of whom were exposed to radiation.
